When I started this company from a single trade-test room in Haldia in 2012, the manpower industry in Eastern India had a trust problem. Workers were charged illegal fees, employers received unverified candidates, and nobody owned the outcome once a placement was made.
Billa International was built to fix exactly that. We took three decisions on day one that we have never compromised on: candidates are never charged a rupee for placement, every foreign employer we work with is verified before a single file moves, and every stage of a candidate's journey is recorded and visible to both the worker and the client.
Today, operating as Billa International Pvt. Ltd., we run six branches across India and a Gulf desk in Dubai, we have deployed more than 18,000 professionals and skilled workers, and we serve over 640 corporate clients. But the number I am most proud of is our 92% offer-to-join ratio — because it means the people we counsel actually trust what we tell them.
Our technology platform, which you are using right now, was built in-house so that a welder in Siliguri and a plant head in Doha can both see the same truth at the same time. That transparency is not a feature for us. It is the business.
